Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us, Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word; It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.
(Luk 1:1-4)
If you are married or will ever be married, consider this question. If you're wife (or husband.. to the wives) was severely burned or had a crippling disease...etc...would you still love them? would you still provide for them? would anything change? ....NOW conisider this ...when you are weak, disabled, sick, not behaving in a pleasing way to God, does He still Love you?? (consider John 3:16, Romans 5:8) of course! God demonstrated His own love toward us in that WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS CHRIST DIED FOR US! If you read Romans 5 God describes our state...without strength, ungodly, sinners, enemies of God, AND YET GOD LOVES US!!! JESUS DIED FOR OUR SINS WAS BURIED AND ROSE FROM THE DEAD ON THE THIRD DAY JESUS TOOK THE FULL PAYMENT FOR OUR SINS, THE WRATH OF GOD...DEATH..., PRAISE GOD! THIS IS OF FIRST IMPORTANCE AND WE SHOULD LIVE THIS WAY . 1 COR 15:3-5
"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:"
eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
1 Jn 4:7-11 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
